Sometimes it’s really hard for me to slow down. Really hard.
I don’t know about you, but I have a tendency to move really quickly from one thing to the next. And recently, I noticed myself focusing a lot on “the next big thing”.
But when I do this, somewhere in the process, I lose my ability to fully enjoy what I’m doing now.
This is because the deep satisfaction and pulsing joy we crave is only experienced in the present moment. Damn it.
As my spiritual running buddy, I’m sure you’ve heard it a million times: “live in the present moment”.
Well what the heck does that even mean?
And why is it so hard for me to do sometimes?
I’ve been in Peru for a few days now and my intention is to s l o w d o w n.
In this week’s SOUL WORKOUT video below, I share with you how to be in the present moment and what I am going to be doing for the next month in Peru. Click below to watch:
In the present moment is where we experience the satisfaction and connections we deeply crave. The satisfaction is not outside us in some future person or experience. It’s here and now if you will allow yourself to experience it.
Coming back to the present moment over and over is a practice. I’m practicing. Are ya with me?

Below is the city of Cusco, Peru as the sun was setting. I was hoping it would show up in the video, but it didn’t, so here it is in all it’s glory… ;)
