I’m back from India! What a trip. Going to India to study at the Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute was a dream of mine for years. Since I work a full-time job and it’s quite expensive to travel to India and study at the school, I thought it would take years before I was actually able to go.
But things fell into place much quicker than I thought. Probably because I applied and got in before I was actually ready to go. I applied before I had the money lined up and before I got the time off approval from work.
Put the plan in motion before you’re ready. That’ll get ya ready real quick ;)
Anyway, it happened, and I feel very grateful for the experience. I met some incredible ladies and got to explore more of India (this was my second time).
While I was in India, I tried to draw a mandala every day as a way of journaling the experience. It was so much fun and some of the mandalas I drew really surprised me! I even taught some of my new friends how to draw them and they loved it!
I thought it would be fun to share all the mandalas I drew with you so I made a quick video below. (Sorry about the quality not being great. For some reason, the camera didn’t focus correctly, but at least you get a clear picture of the tree branches behind me ha!)
I would love for you to join the mandala maps community! If you want to learn more about mandalas and how to draw them, check out my ebook here!
And now for some photos from my trip!!
